Is Fat Loss 4 Idiots 4 You?

How many times in the past few months have you seen the words "Fat Loss 4 Idiots - Lose 9 lbs. Every 11 Days"? If you are like me, quite a few times! So, what is this phrase about and is it something that you should try for yourself?

 

To begin, Fat Loss 4 Idiots is a new low cost diet plan that has become available to the public within the past 6 months. The diet suggests that you can lose 9 pounds in a little less than two weeks. This in itself isn't that high of a promise as you might see on other, more expensive diets, and seems to be something that is completely doable for the average user. We all know that if we cut out high calorie foods for a week, we can probably lose 5 pounds or more in 5 days, but that's just a short-term weight loss goal. What about if we need something that will allow us to lose more than that over a longer period of time?

The basic Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet gives the dieter a plan to use for the first 11 days of the diet. The dieter has to follow the diet exactly over those 11 days. Once the first 11 days have been completed, the dieter is allowed 3 diet-free days to consume what they would normally. Then to begin the diet again for another 11 days, then 3 free days, and so on, until the dieter has lost the required amount of weight.

So, how easy is it to stay on the diet plan? I would suggest that it's very easy. The food products are readily available in any local grocery store; you may even have most of them in your pantry now! There are no supplements to take, which means no trips to the dreaded health food store. It is in fact entirely possible to lose more than 9 pounds in your first 11 days if the dieter follows the plan as prescribed.

What about the 3 free days? In my own personal opinion, I suggest that while you are given "free days", do not take that to mean you can go back to eating at McDonald's, Burger King, and the like for your 3 diet-free days. Try to take some of what the diet has planned for you, but just up the amount of food that you consume during the free period. And go ahead and treat yourself to one of the comfort foods you enjoy during the free time. You do not want to feel like you are on a diet during this time, but if you are to succeed at your weight loss goal, you should try and not go completely back to the way you were eating.

One last item should be mentioned: exercise. The plan does not require any type of exercise to lose weight. However, every credible diet plan, including Fat Loss 4 Idiots, will ask the dieter to begin some sort of physical exercise routine. Even if it's just a walk around the block, this will help the dieter get the full benefit of the diet.
